Sarah is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, and made Memphis home in 2014. She holds a bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is pursuing a masters in Urban Ministry at Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary. Before joining the team at the Heights CDC she worked for Memphis Athletic Ministries running an afterschool sports program serving neighborhood youth for nine years. This fostered her love for and connection to the Heights community. It led her to help plant The Avenue Community Church and become an official Heights resident. Sarah enjoys creating bridges between community residents and available resources to maximize shalom here in our neighborhood.
